Second Full-Time Oxford Biodesign Programme Starts

The second nine month Oxford Biodesign Research Programme started on Monday, 25 September 2017.

Tristan Whitmarsh, Ahmed Elzein Mohamed, Piers Milner, Ti Xu, Sarujan Ranjan and Erfan Soliman, are the second group of Oxford Biodesign Research Fellows to join the Institute of Biomedical Engineering full-time, all aspirng to become leaders in the world of digital health innovation.

The Oxford Biodesign Fellows will be trained to turn needs-based concepts into commercially successful products and during their time at the IBME, will develop biodesign prototypes which may be taken forward for clinical translation or scaled up into commercial products.

Maarten De Vos, the Director of the Oxford Biodesign Programme, said:

"We warmly welcome the new Oxford Biodesign Fellows. It is exciting to have these young entrepreneurs starting thier biodesign innovation challenge. This promises to be an inspiring journey, leading to new digital health products and solutions."
